Love for the Arts

At ACT of Hudson, We Nurture Young Talent Through Theater

Our Mission

A Children's Theater (ACT of Hudson, Ohio) is run by a parent volunteer board and comprised of area school children in grades 3-8 and their families.

We believe that ACT offers young people an opportunity to build self esteem, exemplary public speaking skills, a greater exposure to collaboration and teamwork, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience from which they will always draw from and never forget. We hope to instill in them a hearty appetite, whether as a performer or a spectator, for a lifetime of the dramatic arts.

The Beth Polen Passion for Theater ACT Scholarship

Beth Polen, longtime Director of ACT, has been a beloved mentor for hundreds of students who have participated in ACT programs over the years. She has left an indelible mark on our organization and this is a small way to thank and honor her for her years of service to ACT.

"ACT has been a massive part of my childhood - with a welcoming environment, new friends, and fun shows. With widespread opportunities for younger kids up to middle schoolers, ACT is a magical place. The atmosphere is great and is prepares you for middle school, high school and community theater. I dearly love ACT and I am eternally grateful that I grew up in the program."
