Students in the Class of 2026 that have participated in at least one ACT spring or fall production during their elementary/middle school years are eligible to apply.
Applicants must be planning to pursue a 2- or 4-year college degree or certified vocational program post-graduation.
Applicants are required to submit a copy of their most recent transcript as proof of enrollment. Transcripts may be unofficial.
Applicants are required to submit one (1) letter of recommendation. This recommendation may be from a current or past teacher, coach, advisor, employer, community member or a peer.
Applicants are required to submit an essay (500 words or less) or a video (3 minutes or less) that addresses the following question:
How has your involvement in ACT influenced/positively impacted your life?
All completed applications must be submitted no later than April 1st.
A selection committee will review all submissions and select the winner(s) of the scholarship no later than April 15, 2026.
Selection will be based primarily on the applicant's essay/video response and their letter of recommendation. Scholarship funds will be given directly to the awardee.
The Beth Polen Passion for Theater ACT Scholarship is awarded without regard to age, race, national, or ethnic origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
